Join Miami Freedom Project, Paola Ramos and Krystina Francois for a screening of SHOWTIME/ VICE News’ “El Darien Gap”
Screening:
In order to reach the US-Mexico border many migrants – predominantly hailing from the Caribbean and Africa – must go through El Darién Gap, one of the world’s most dangerous jungles. El Darién is a grueling 60-mile hike along the Colombia-Panama border. Through this trek, migrants don’t just encounter lethal wildlife, they are also vulnerable to being robbed by gangs and becoming victims of sexual assault and rape.
