Miami Civics Club: County Budget 101 & Writing Workshop (MFP for Democracy)

Wish Miami-Dade County had priorities that reflected your own? Same 🙂‍↕️

Join our In-Person County Budget 101 & Writing Workshop on August 19th to learn how you can use YOUR voice to influence the county budget.

During our time together, you will learn more about what a county budget is, why it matters, and how you can advocate for your family and community’s needs this budget season 🫂🌴

By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with an advocacy plan and a drafted statement for public comment 💪🗣️

In the company of amazing local organizers and leaders — Catalyst Miami, Engage Miami, Miami Civics Club (run by Miami Freedom Project for Democracy), and Transit Alliance Miami — you’ll leave feeling inspired and fired up!

This workshop will take place at the August Miami Our Way Working Group Meeting. Miami Our Way Working Group is a monthly space for residents who care about our community to make change together. We’ll identify problems, develop solutions, recruit decision-makers, and follow through with real action.
