Join Welcome.US, Center for Democracy in the Americas (CDA), and Women’s Refugee Commission (WRC) in this joint webinar regarding humanitarian sponsorship programs recently announced by the U.S. government: Process for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans (P4CHNV). Learn about how we can collectively respond in support of these newcomers seeking safety. In both Spanish and English, the webinar will feature helpful information about the program and how to apply to be a sponsor through P4CHNV, walk through the Welcome Connect platform, and offer tools and resources that can be used by sponsors to support newcomers. You will also hear from a current sponsor about their journey of welcome, followed by a Q&A session with the speakers where you can ask questions about the program and how to begin. The direct participation of everyday Americans, faith organizations, civic organizations and other community organizations is now more critical than ever to ensure that these vulnerable populations can access a pathway to safety and security. Since April 2022, roughly 250,000 Americans have signed up to sponsor newcomers in need of refuge. |
