Miami Freedom Project x Buddy System MIA Food Rescue

Join us on Tuesday, May 30th at 9:00 PM to support Buddy System MIA in eliminating food waste in South Florida! Every week volunteers go to Trader Joe’s in Pinecrest to pick up excess food and deliver it to one of Buddy System MIA’s Community Fridges or partner food access locations.

We are looking for 3-5 volunteers who can drive and have their own cars to be able to assist with the food rescue mission next Tuesday.

How it works:

• Sign up here, scroll down to Tuesday, May 30th and select a Community Fridge location that works best for you. This is the location that you will deliver the rescued food to.
• On Tuesday, volunteers will meet in the parking lot behind the Trader Joe’s at 9:15 PM.
• We’ll pack up the cars with boxes of rescued food and each teammate will deliver separately to their selected location

NOTE: Volunteers must be able to drive and have their own car. Feel free to bring a friend for the ride!
