Cubanas & Cocktails: Panel moderated by Paola Ramos (author “Finding Latinx”, VICE News) and featuring Mileydi Guilarte, AJ Twombly, Jordan Valdes, Cuban-American women in foreign affairs, security, and development hosted by Ana Sofía Peláez (Miami Freedom Project) and Frances Colón (Florida For All).

Paola Ramos (author of “Finding Latinx”, VICE and VICE News) will be joined by three inspiring Cuban-American woman to ask what inspired them to speak out about the upcoming election:

Mileydi Guilarte – A former National Security Council Director for Western Hemisphere Affairs. Prior to the White House, Guilarte served in a variety of positions at the United States Agency for International Development, the World Bank, the United Nations, and most recently Counterpart International.

Ann-Janette Twombly is a former CIA officer and a fellow at the Truman National Security Project.

Jordan Valdés – a former senior adviser of international trade at the U.S. Small Business Administration under President Barack Obama.
